Decarbonization of Aquiculture Activities
The main objective of this project is to enhance and promote aquaculture on Ilha da Culatra, ensuring the future economic, social and environmental sustainability of this economic activity. The project includes:
Dimensioning and acquisition of photovoltaic equipment for fishing support, through the installation of a 64 kWp PV unit;
Dimensioning and acquisition of the energy storage unit, with a capacity of 32 kWh, which will be used to operate the equipment for the manufacture and silage of ice without energy costs for fishermen, nurserymen and shellfish gatherers;
Dimensioning and acquisition of a solar boat charging unit to support aquaculture and maritime tourism activities;
Dimensioning and acquisition of a prototype of the electric-solar vessel for time-sharing service by the 80 nurserymen and the island's anchorages, contributing to the environmental sustainability of the Ria Formosa;
Create a local micro-grid concept that allows the intelligent use of energy through the identification of peak hours and efficient management of available energy resources.
