Hydrousa
HYDROUSA is an EU Innovation project, coordinated by NTUA (Athens, Greece), approved under the topic “Water in the context of the circular economy (Grant Agreement No. 776643, https://www.hydrousa.org/)”.
HYDROUSA seeks to close the water cycle at local level and with existing resources, promoting the concept of the decentralized saving, treatment and reuse of water, materials, and energy, while integrating and interacting with the local society and market.
HYDROUSA is creating innovative, nature-based, and nature-inspired water management solutions for different types of water characterised by low energy footprint. HYDROUSA solutions are being tested in three Greek Islands. In parallel, the theoretical social, technical, economic, and legislative feasibility is being assessed in 25 sites in the world, including Culatra Island, under the supervision of the activity leaders (UNIVPM, Italy).
