What will be left of European funds
By the end of this decade we will receive the biggest wave of funds ever. Will we be able to use them to reverse the trend of low growth? Portugal has received more than 120 billion euros in EU funds over 35 years, a decisive factor in modernising and improving the living conditions of the Portuguese. While until 2000 the country enjoyed good growth rates, with the turn of the century the situation changed. By the end of this decade, we will have received almost half of the funds that have arrived over three decades.
Will we know how to use it to ensure a more cohesive, innovative and sustainable country?
